GEM FAIR – SHANGHAI.

MALAYSIA
(A). The National Gem & Jewellery Authority with the assistance of Sri Lanka High Commission in Malaysia will organize the “Sri Lanka Pavilion” at the 14th Malaysia International Jewelex to be held from November 21st to 24th 2008 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC).
Eight (08) exporters / potential exporters of Gems, Calibrated Gems & Gem studded Jewellery to participate at the above Fair.
The ‘NGJA’ will consider meeting 50% of the cost of stall rental, stall construction, fixtures and fittings. Cost of participation for a selected company would be Rs. 275,000/. For category (A) Single Booth & Category (B) Sharing would be Rs.160,000/-.
CHINA
(B). The National Gem & Jewellery Authority with the assistance of Sri Lanka Embassy in China will organize the “Sri Lanka Pavilion” at the China International Gold Jewellery and Gem Fair to be held from November 27th – 30th 2008 at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre .
RULES & REGULATIONS AT THE FAIR
On the spot;sales are not allowed unless those companies have authorized right to sell in China. Overseas exhibitors are expected to meet potential buyers and finalize the deal when they go back to their countries.
PARTICIPANTS:
Eight (08) exporters / potential exporters of Gems, Calibrated Gems & Gem studded Jewellery to participate at the above Fair.

3) Special Air Fares through BOC Travels (Pvt.) Ltd.
4) Promotional Brochure.
5) Services of Interpreters.(For China International Gold, Jewellery & Gem Fair)
SELECTION PROCEDURE
Applications are invited from above mentioned persons. Applicants who are short listed will be interviewed by a Selection Committee where they will be requested to present a sample collection of gemstones, jewellery, company and product profiles, and promotional literature to be used at the Fair. Preference shall be given to those who have participated at “FACETS” – Sri Lanka International Gem & Jewellery Show.
Applications should be made on the prescribed form and forwarded on or before 30th August 2008 to the Senior Manager (Export & Export Promotion), National Gem & Jewellery Authority, No. 25, Galle Face Terrace, Colombo 03 from whom further details and applications could be obtained.
